Le Macassar is located on the main square of the town of Corbie, 15 minutes from the centre of Amiens – the capital of the Picardie region of northern France. By car we are 1.5 hours from Paris & Calais, and 2.5 hours from Brussels . The nearest airports are Paris Charles de Gaulle (<1.5 hours) and Paris Beauvais (<1 hour). As well as the local train station in Corbie, the high speed ‘TGV’ train station of Haut Picardie is 20 minutes away. We will be happy to advise guests on routes and can arrange transportation from stations and airports with prior notice.
My husband and I had a wonderful time at Le Macassar. The hotel is so beautiful. We stayed in the art deco room-it was gorgeous and comfortable. Great space. The location was good-right next to the Abbey. No problem parking. The breakfasts were so delicious. We had dinner one night and it was an amazing 5 course meal. Our host Deborah was so welcoming and kind. Welcome drinks and goodies. Excellent cook and gave great recommendations. The history of the house was amazing. Fabulous stay at a fabulous place!

CustomerThis is our fourth visit to Le Macassar and our second with the new owner Deborah. The bed and breakfast is still as beautiful as ever. The room, The empire suite - is both glorious and cozy - the bed very comfortable and the sheets luxurious. Deborah is a wonderful host. - nothing is too much trouble and it is the small touches that makes this place so special. The glass of wine with canapes in the evening, the kettle, tea and cake left for us as we returned from a wet day visiting the local war graves. The breakfast was, as always, fabulous and Deborah is such an interesting, informative and caring host. Thank you, we shall be back.

CustomerMy husband and I spent a lovely weekend with friends at Le Macassar, with our host and owner Deborah. She made a delicious dinner with wine pairings for us when we arrived, and we spent the evening sharing stories and learning about the home and the area. She gave us recommendations which were terrific...nearby town of Amiens and its Notre Dame Cathedral (UNESCO heritage, more than twice the size of Notre Dame in Paris) and the Champagne house Le Gallais for champagne tour and tasting (just under a 2 hr drive) through the beautiful fall foliage and rolling French countryside & vineyards. We had delicious breakfasts made by Deborah each day, the rooms are each unique and beautifully decorated with her special touches. Ask to see the wine cellar. If you love history you should check out the nearby WW1 memorials. You will love your stay!

CustomerFrom the moment you are welcomed by Deborah until you leave she treats you like her her one and only guests. Deborah, her husband Gordy and 3 well behaved, small rescue dogs live in an amazing and immaculate home completely furnished in the Art Deco style. It is fascinating and lovely. Breakfast is perfect and the beautifully prepared Sunday dinner was exquisite. My husband was not feeling well and Deborah went out of her way to make applesauce and ginger tea for him. Our room and bathroom were beautiful. I might sound like I am overplaying our stay but trust me it’s a must if you visit the Amiens area of France!

CustomerThe problem is, we can only give Le Macassar 5 stars. The new owners, Deborah and Gordon, could not have been more hospitable and treated us as friends rather than customers. The Art Noveau bedrooms, en-suites and public rooms were spacious and delightful, as was the garden, although the weather didn't permit us to make the best of it. Yes, it's expensve for a B&B, but worth every penny.
